Just one year since launching, Honcho has placed at number 6 in the Business Cloud 100 Fintech Disruptors list for 2020.
The annual list showcases the fintech businesses from across the UK who are transforming all parts of the financial landscape including across the insurance, banking, personal finance and payments sectors.
In an inevitably London-heavy list we’re thrilled to be leading the charge for fintech businesses across not only our native north east of England, but indeed all of the north of the UK, with our friends at Kani Payments (17), One Utility Bill (32), Moneyshake (40), Donr (83), Atom Bank (87) and Caspian (93) making up the rest of the north eastern contingent in the top 100.
As a founding member of Insurtech UK we’re also thrilled to represent our sector as the sole insurtech business to make the top 30.
The top 10 positions are:
1 - Starling Bank (London)
2 - Curve (London)
3 - Currensea (London)
4 - Revolut (London)
5 - Snoop (Norwich)
6 - Honcho (Durham)
7 - Samuel & Co. Trading (Watford)
8 - ClearBank (London)
9 - Countingup (London)
10 - Ordo (London)
The 100 Fintech Disruptors list was voted for by over 5,000 Business Cloud readers along with an independent judging panel and seeks to showcase organisations who are shaking up the broader finance sector by creating technology-based solutions that redefine markets and create significantly better opportunities for both consumers and other businesses.
Here’s our CEO Gavin on the great result:
Placing so highly in this year’s top 100 is huge vindication for the work that the Honcho team have done to get us to this point. It also underlines the criticality of our mission of building a better way for both buyers and sellers of insurance to interact with each other.
With so much innovation going on from fintech businesses across the UK it is great to see the support for our journey of redefining insurance distribution.
Huge thanks to everyone who supported us!
